Insert merge fields in the body of your email for increased personalisation
Our inboxes are more full than ever before but how many organisations take the time to really personalise their communications?
Some put your name in the subject line, which is a great way to increase open rates, but what about taking it to the next level by including personalised fields inside the copy of the email.
Fields such as name, date of birth, mobile number, sign up and anniversary dates are all fields that can be used in your communications. If your customer database has tags, they might also be valuable fields to include. For example, if you tag your customers with details, such as a favourite drink, you could use that in a promotion.
